I collected anything listed in the Standard Catalog for Topps from 48 to 94, and after that dropped off to base sets, updates later Heritage. That included any promo cards, test issues, inserts and adjunct stuff. Most base promo stuff from that period was inexpensive to pick up back then. But test stuff like Golden Spikes and Mylar Stickers were expensive and tough to find.

The Standard Catalog stopped post 1980 listings several years back, but I still have the last one that did. Agree that more detailed inventory of what you have is needed to give any input of items of value.
