Maybe the back appears to have staining or scrapbook residue, which might make it a 3? I think the horrible contrast setting on the scan is making the back look much worse than it really is.
Maybe the chipping at the corners (standard for T205s with corner wear) is viewed by some here as paper loss, so they're knocking it down to 3 or less? Just guessing here. If a card with no creases and corners like this is viewed as a 3 or below, then I think the hobby's grading scale has become too tough. To me, this is a VG-EX 4 all day long.
