one other scenario I didn't want to rule out is the photography that was used. High res scans and then using the right lighting can make a big difference too. It's pretty easy to lighten it up to hide creases and scruff marks.
If cards get soaked and cleaned, is there a chance that creases or marks may re appear in time, even though it got holderd? |

I am also thinking it may just be a difference in scannner settings, or photo vs. scan. If something was done in an attempt to remove those horizontal lines, then it wasn't very successful. It is a bit tough to tell because the SGC scan provided is pretty small.

Have you got a bigger scan of it in the SGC holder? It's really hard to compare the two with such a small picture.

I collected the M110 set about six or seven years ago. Those striations are not uncommon to the cards. I don't know for a fact but it is my understanding that the marks have more to do with the fragility of the card stock and wouldn't lend themselves to being removed by soaking or other alchemy. Based on a recent experience I do not have full faith in PWCC's scans. It would be enlightening to see what this card actually looks like in hand.
Just for fun, here's my Wagner:
