I guess everybody knows the story of how Tris Speaker, then manager of Cleveland in the early 1920's, persuaded his management to offer Joe Wood, his old teammate from Boston days who had long ago blown out his arm, a job in the outfield; hence, some late cards of him, like my E120, show him in a fielding position with a Cleveland caption. To me, it is a great story of loyalty.
