Appreciate everyone jumping in and helping out. I've never done a player "set" as my tendency is to prefer one card/item of a lot of different players, but these 5:
Bobby Layne, Charley Conerly, Pete Pihos, Chuck Bednarik, Charley Trippi would be interesting candidates to me as they were basically there from the beginning of annual mainstream football card issues. Bednarik especially has a nice run - beyond the Leaf (48-49), Bowmans (50-55), you get several Topps cards (incl. 48), at least one Fleer card and something I saw on the registry that I never heard of: 1962 SALADA COINS CHUCK BEDNARIK Anyone have more info on the Salada Coins?
