Grange and Nagurski sell in recent auction

There were two printings, 1925 and 1931. There are variations/new cards on the 1931 sheets that help pin down the timing.

Thanks Adam. Was W580 produced the same way at the same time? There seems to be confusion as to whether this Grange is a W580 or W590. SGC has it as W580 and PSA has it as W590.

Mike, awesome info on the "penny scales" - I never heard of this - sounds like something I should've learned from Pawn Stars/Antiques Roadshow etc.

I was wondering why you were selling..... Jeff, could you post an image of your main card? That would give us images of all 3 of the graded cards in one thread, right?

Well, not exactly. My other one is not graded.

The Nag actually was very nice eye appeal, people will pay a premium for that and so do I. I actually placed a bid on that one myself, i was expecting closer to 3k at the hammer. It is the white whale of football.

Jeff, I like that Grange - I see why you're keeping that one.

Chris, I agree, the Nags has good eye appeal, very clean and nicer than the PSA 3 on eBay right now (not so clean), but at that price, for me at the end of the day, the mark is a 2 grade deduction and also a bit distracting to see pencil on the jersey, I still think it went high - I think you dropped out at the right time. If your looking for a Nags, you could check with Jeff to see if his is available....
