I've never really preferred one slab over the other, although I do think SGC has been more consistent in their grading. I have a boatload of both slabs and just buy what card appeals to me inside of the slab.
I get that collectors like to match their slabs, but I couldn't care less and just buy the card that fits my condition and appeal preference. To each their own...
