This "grading" company doesn't appear to be in business. Actually, you can buy their domain since it is available. psvagraders.com

But the label is virtually the same down to the style and everything. With the exception of one letter. I wonder if that is the same company with a name change?

Instead of blaming the seller (who I agree should catch some shrapnel as his response to the "question" is pretty ignorant) why don't we also blame the person or people who buy this stuff?
Due-dilligance really isn't that difficult what with all the research that had gone into card collection. You wanna pay three-figures for something that was cut out of a book? Fine. Same with someone who spends $800.00 on a bottle of wine or an autograph or even just s simple cardboard baseball card.... To some this is "collectible" and obviously they have the income to spend on it. I've been quite active on another board and people there all the time question why others collect what they do or why they would want a certain piece because it doesn't fit "their idea" of what's collectible. Who cares??? Was the guy misleading in his post or just completely ignorant? Who knows but, as with Ebay, someone will buy it and pay stupidly. |

These things pop up fairly frequently and are somewhat annoying, since it is distressing to think someone is going through old Spalding guides with a pair of scissors and then calling them "cards." I bought this one recently, with full knowledge of what it was and what it was worth, simply because it was my relative. http://www.ebay.com/itm/351129736021...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
At least the seller's description was quite clear about what it was. |
