I have been going to the CWS since 1955. The blast by Norwood was one to remember. The scoreboard said 97 mph on the pitch. It went out in a hurry.
The Commodores were great fans and the Vanderbilt theatrical troop between innings was a treat.

As for the inside chin high bomb from Norwood, I can't imagine anyone hitting that 97mph offering over the fence. I bet Norwood wouldn't hit that same pitch over if he had another 999 tries. It's just that one... Crazy and historic finish. What a great series... Virginia had the better hitting team overall top to bottom. VU did what it had to do on the pitching and small ball side. Both teams werre worthy of the ring.
