SGC's pop reports have always been free of charge to anyone who signs up for a free account. There's no requirement to submit, either in the past or in the future.

I had that same thing happen to a Ruth strip card that I thought SGC had sent me an empty holder until I turned it over. I emailed Scott and he personally called me and apologized and redid the entire order for free (as there were 7 cards that had done it to a lesser degree in the order I had sent in of 11 cards).
He also gave me my next entire order free which was nice as I almost always do next day service. I don't know if you have his email or not but if you need it just PM me and I can shoot that over to you. Hope you get it worked out. |

I need to look into this. It's possible that I misunderstood. He may have meant that there would not be a serial number look up.

Would it really be that difficult for SGC to employ a thicker gasket? End of problem.

Even if the issue is being caused by poor quality control on the clear plastic front & back that make up the holder, a thicker gasket would solve this problem. |

That is really unacceptable and far from a new issue.

Great, they got pinholes in your cabinet photos. Shake them back into their gaskets and send them back.

Yeah. I'll do that. I'll shake the flip back into place too. Sending 'em from Canada; that will take a month to get there. Then wait for them to send them back. With the same useless gaskets. And then pay another 300 bucks for Canadian sales tax. Great idea.

Sorry for making light of it, David - hopefully they aren't damaged. It was great seeing you last weekend and talking cards.

David,
That's terrible. I'm so sorry. Can you tell how much damage was done to those cabinet cards from the time they were photographed for auction? I hope SGC fixes this issue, and fast. I also hope they make restitution in your case, because that should have never happened. I can't believe SGC hasn't resolved this issue by now.

I had the exact thing happen on the card pictured below last year. Fortunately it wasn't damaged, at least based on a detailed comparison with the auction scan. But it was pretty disconcerting when I opened the package, everything seemed to be flying all over the place.
Also happened on a less expensive card purchased earlier this year from a Board member.

I wanted to provide an update that two people from SGC reached out to me and I assume everything will be resolved.
