Default Jorge

Got this one back today... fortunately/unfortunately it is going to a good friend...

The signature was acquired at a recent Joe Torre charity event... I told the gent who got it for me that I was a fan of index cards, he ended up getting it on a piece of Canvas board, so this thing is a monster... Paired it with a ticket to the game in which Jorge hit the last hr of his career #275 and a photo of him taking a curtain call after hitting it...

My buddy is going to be real happy when he gets it!

Default 1929 Cubs Signed Lot

Amazing 1929 Cubs signed pages with original photos. Lot included signed items of Hack Wilson, Rogers Hornsby and Gabby Hartnett plus 20+ other members of the 1929 Chicago Cubs National League champs.

Will be for sale shortly after I receive it and get a better idea of exactly what I have.

Tom,

Love that Hornsby! Let me know when it's for sale.

Because they did not know.

And it's not my job to tell them.

I was looking closely at that Lot, and because there was not even a mention of the pages being signed, I just assumed that the names were facsimile signatures. How could they possibly be that lackadaisical and neglectful?

It seems highly unlikely that Mears could overlook something like that that. Wouldn't the Consignor say something when he/she saw the Lot and its description posted on-line? Hard to believe the Consignor would approve of this... unless it was someone who is completely naive, or inherited the book (knowing absolutely nothing about memorabilia or collecting).

This one is a real head-scratcher
