Nice Pickups James. Was watching that Ott (I have one already but watched it as it was a short auction and bids didn't go up till late..was gonna bid it up to about 320 and see if I get lucky...you still got a good price). Also was watching the Nichols of course...crazy bidding like the first day..couldn't justify spending the money but he's one of my MUST haves...

yeah...I overpaid a bit for the Nichols, but it is a very nice piece...Looks great in person.

Took a break after my Cobb auto...picked up a Lee Smith and Tim Raines auto in the meantime, but finally:

#208 of 300 HOF to the collection: Tom Connolly check cut. @ $263 w/ BP (HA)

I wanted that Connelly, but flight was delayed and couldn't put in a higher bid.

Thanks lol

He doesn't come up very often, so I'm excited to win it (and at that price). I put a much higher figure in and went to bed hoping I got it. It was a nice surprise this morning.

Can I ask how high you were willing to go? I was going to go up to $300, can you at least tell me you would go higher than that, so i can sleep better tonight

That being said, I made a major pickup from the recent Huggins auction, so I guess it may have been best that I couldn't get a higher bid in.
