Lelands may have flat out out marketed and out worked Memory Lane...I don't know this in this particular case, but hard work is often the answer to why one person is more successful than another given the same material to work with.

Isn't the Leland's Plank (here: Link) currently at roughly the same price (before BP) as the Memory Lane Plank (here: Link)? Not sure where the 103K is coming from.
Weird thing is, is on the press release on SCD for the Memory Lane auction, it says that the Plank sold for ~107K (here: Link). Not sure if that's just a typo or there was a hidden reserve that was still met by the buyer's max bid. Last edited by glchen; 12-21-2012 at 10:41 AM. |
