I really didn't expect to find much in the way of Indians memorabilia but came away pleasantly surprised. Shown first below is a 1950s kids T-shirt, in the orginal wrapping and adorned with the fabulous Chief Wahoo. I love stuff like this.
Second is a 1960s lighter with the Chief on it, pictured beside a dated 1949 pin that supposedly was given away as a Ladies Day souvenir. I already had a pin (and this was the third time I had heard the Ladies Day theory), but this one is in such great shape I couldn't pass on it. Plus, they're fairly tough to come by. Finally, a 1940 Wheaties box with Bob Feller on the back. I've always wanted a complete vintage Wheaties box that has a tie-in with the Tribe, and this fits the bill. All in all, a fun trip to Baltimore. |
