I'd say the lack of a photographic reference helped many poses remain uncatalogued since they were so similar to existing pose descriptions. The book has helped flush out some of the new poses, both rare and not so rare.
Pose Count at time of book being published = 2,491 Pose Count with 11 additions = 2,502 Subject count remains 521 split between players, managers, umpires, mascots, and even a team owner, Von der Ahe.
