For 3 years while at MIT 1961 thru 1963 I lived at 269 Broadway. I must have walked by that building more than 1000 times. I was not until 4 years ago at a 40th reunion and was showing my wife the neighborhood that I lived in, that I put the name with the building. When I was there it was a manufacturing use of some sort. BTW our apartment was a 4 bedroom and shared with 3 other roommates. It had coal heat - shoveled by me. The rent was $75 per month split 4 ways. Thanks for the photos. |
