Why did this auction go so high?

I'm literally laughing out loud because I just sent tbob an e-mail asking the same question. I didn't want to post the question on the board because I was the underbidder and didn't know whether the winner is a board member I (and the fact I cost him some money). I knew the Upp was tougher than a common, but I figured it was a case of two people who wanted a card badly each putting in a high bid, figuring he'd be covered.
