T206 Back Art

Take a look at the back of an American Beauty (with frame), Broad Leaf, Cycle or Drum T206 and you will notice a distinct frame (more specifically, the corners) design that they all 4 share.

I noticed a very similar design element on the back of an Obak:
(notice the little design element in the center of the horizontal rule)

So, did they share the same artist, was the Obak artist inspired by the T206 artist or was this design element something common to the period?
