T209 question

Well I got my T209's out and discovered low and behold mine has a penciled number as well "25" obviously these were some old timers pricing on these. As I stated earlier I thought this was a machine cut one, but now it does not appear so. However, I have quite a few regular ones which don't appear perfectly cut. Could this have been an issue where some were hand cut while others machine cut like the 09 obaks.
