Doesn't it depend in part on how many cards you want to own? It does for me. If all of my cards were in even ex condition, the set value would be so high that I would not feel comfortable keeping them in the house.

Then what would I have? A set that I could visit! And in between visits, I could enjoy scans of my cards. Heck, for me, enjoyment of scans is for YOUR cards.
