He covered the Dodgers with the New York HERALD - TRIBUNE, and was very sympathetic to Mr. Robinson.  Kahn makes the \'52 - \'53 seasons come alive, and there\'s enough about Robbie in there to show his extremely deep daily contribution to the team.  Then, in the early 1970\'s, Kahn traveled all over the country to interview a dozen or more of the surviving players from the 1952 team.
