Denver Bears / Grizzlies
I just picked up two incredible pins relating to the Denver Bears / Grizzlies. The Denver Bears (aka Grizzlies, Mountaineers & Mountain Lions) was a minor league team that played from 1884 through 1954. The 1911 Grizzlies were the Western League Champions and are considered one of the top 100 minor league teams of all-time.
One of the pins I just got is related to that 1911 team. It has a team photo but more amazing is the ribbon attachment. The pin is shown in the Muchinsky book (without ribbon). The other pin is a homecoming pin for the 1923 Denver Bears. It pictures many of their players in individual cameos. Any thoughts on their value would be appreciated. Thanks! Lou
