Not really what you're talking about, but the closest I have... in the late 90's I was walking around NYC day drinking with some buddies and there was a crowd in the alley of the Letterman show. We asked a guy what was going on and he said Motley Crue was going to play. They recorded one song for the show, then played for a half hour just for the people that showed up. Afterwards we were lingering around the stage and I grabbed this "walkway" sign. I flipped it over and it was a cue card for a Steinbrenner joke. Can't believe I still have this thing, but it is one of those weird conversation pieces at my house that people ask me about.
