Default Show your tattoos (orbits) !!

When I was 8 years old, I ordered a bunch of reprint cards. It might have been from Sears but I think it was TCMA Ltd. In this group, there were T206's that were perforated in a booklet and had all of the big dogs. There were also the Ruth & Gehrig Goudey reprints and several others.

However, the ones that stuck out the most to me were the Tattoo Orbits. I loved the colors - orange, brown, red - very earthy. I think there was a Connie Mack and Dizzy Dean that really stuck out.

In the current spring auctions, I have seen a couple of complete sets. I was surprised to learn that there were only 60 cards and the price is reasonable.

I have long said that when I get done with the post-war run 33 Delong (hopefully the Lionel Carter set) would be my first foray into a pre-war set. But I have to say that I am being very tempted by the tattoo beauties as the auction ends. So let's see them!!
