Cashing in is what you should be doing--taking advantage of an obviously speculative boom. Collectibles simply don't increase in value that rapidly when the demand is coming from legitimate, knowledgeable collectors. When investors are selling to more investors, with substantial price increases at every step of the way, the trend lasts only as long as new investors enter the field. In the end, it is essentially a Ponzi scheme. When there is no legitimate COLLECTOR who desires and will keep, treasure and take pride in having the card at the price levels eventually reached, the bottom falls out, as mathematically it must. Value = Demand/supply, and if the demand has been formed by pure investors who have largely or entirely left the field, and thus depleted, the real value is what the legitimate collector, who remains and constitutes virtually the only source of demand, will pay for the card at the end of the day! Put your money in quieter, more truly rare and significant areas of the hobby.
Hoping you all do well with your collecting,
Larry
