Yes it would appear that something went amiss in the printing process. However, the Ruths displaying this trait are in the minority. It also seems to me that this flaw is found only in the m101-5 versions. Although Ruth bears the same card number in both sets and looks for all intents and purposes identical, I believe I have seen the print line only on blank back and Famous & Barr cards-- none with backs that are exclusive to m101-4. I never gave it a whole lot of thought however.
