August pickups

Just picked up this (not so remarkable photo) on eBay, showing a suspender-wearing man at Yankee Stadium in 1938. He's sitting in a free-standing Windsor chair, identical to the one I obtained last month from Lelands:





But let's look more closely. Notice the twisted-wire added to the chair to tighten up the wooden pieces:



And here's the identical repair on my chair:



Well, I thought it was interesting.
