The black step father of a friend was killed by a white man in a business disagreement earlier in the evening.
The witness was the lookout for the factory robbery, not Carter. Carter's car was positively identified by 2 witnesses. He was stopped again in his car a few blocks from the scene. It was a newer white dodge with out of state plates and butterfly tail lights with two black occupants. At 2:30 am it pretty much narrows down the suspects.
