Back from the National with a few pick ups
Hi all,
I just got home from the National. As always, the show was huge and as always, hockey was not represented very well. There was a fair amount of newer cards and a little vintage that had some really strong prices on the stickers. I did manage to pick up one 51 Parkhurst for my set. I have added one more HOF RC in pretty good condition (Marcel Pronovost SGC 84) I also picked up a couple C56 Imperial Tobacco rookie cards of some pretty solid HOFers (Frank Patrick and Art Ross). I am fairly confident that I overpaid for these cards, but I guess I had some money burning a hole in my pocket! I guess if I am going to overpay, I could do much worse than getting an Art Ross Rookie. Regardless, I had a great time and it was nice to meet a lot of Net54ers in person. It was definitely worth going and now to plan my "Hockey National" in Toronto in November!
