Hi Brock,
That's a nice Boggs bat. I'm curious about something, though. You mention that it dates to 1977, which would have been Boggs' first full minor-league season (after hitting .263 in rookie ball). I'm surprised that he would have had a signature model bat at that stage of his career. I played with a lot of highly touted guys in the minors (Gary Sheffield, Greg Vaughn, B.J. Surhoff, Shawn Abner), and I don't remember any of them having signature models bats until after they signed a major-league contract. We all had our names on our bats, but always in block letters. This was in the mid to late 1980s, so maybe things were different when Boggs entered pro ball. Anyway, just a thought. Rob
