I have finally finished my subset of the fourteen baseball subjects in the massive 1895 N566 Newsboy cabinet issue. The final card was the tougher of the two Ward poses, the "arms folded" pose.
![]() The group of fourteen can be viewed here: http://imageevent.com/uffda51/n566newsboycabinets My first Newsboy was the Doyle, bought at auction as a type card, in 1996. Be warned, type collectors, things can get out of hand. FWIW, anecdotally, I believe the Murphy is the toughest N566. * No actual whales were hurt during the creation of this post. |
