Default 1895 Hugh Duffy Mayo -- Autographed

Posted By: jason

Ken - send that in to get graded! Now I don’t want to get your hopes up but that may be a genuine signature.

I was the original consignor of Jay’s Mayo Duffy to REA and the one who had it authenticated by GAI.

I purchased the card off E-bay about 4 years ago as a low grade filler but it ended up being the genuine article.

At the time of my Duffy purchase, the same E-bay seller had 4-5 other signature Gold Coin cards (including O’ Rourke) up for auction. They all came from the same estate and I have been kicking myself ever since for not bidding on all of them. I think I paid about $70 for the Duffy and the Gold Coins went for about $20-30 each. I have been wondering when they may come back up again.

I guess the key question Ken is when and where you purchase yours from!
