About a year ago I bought this trophy/award at a flea market in Southern California. It doesn't have any dating or etching other than it says Murray Co. I'm assuming that Murray Co maybe means the company or the county, but not too sure though. This figural trophy features a player sliding into a catcher and is very heavy (brass?). Has anyone else seen an award like this or is it a door stop? I honestly have no clue and the guy who I bought it from said that he rescued it from the dump. From the uniforms/equipment I'd say 30's-40's. Any thoughts? Dates? |
