I would say this card doesn't fit the set, but I also couldn't imagine this set without this card. It is different from all the other in the set in that

a) it's an action card
b) it's a horizontal
c) it's the only card in the set that is not a color photo, but rather a colorized b&w picture




Going back to prewar and T206, I"ve always thought the Tris Speaker card was an oddball among all the other "with bat" cards. The Speaker card is the only card within the T206 set that has a batting pose with a solid colored background. All the others have multi-colored backgrounds (I may be wrong on this, and, if so, then I will be talking out of my ass. Won't be the first time ).

So, if you collected the subset within T206 of all players holding a bat, the Tris Speaker wouldn't seem to fit into that set artistically.
