Looks like some lucky bidder "won" the phony Miller Huggins for $3178.02
Any opinions on what it's really worth as Al Bridwell? Last edited by bmarlowe1; 12-05-2009 at 11:51 AM. |

That Bridwell photo is a $300 photo if identified correctly. The mount is trimmed off and there's writing on the front. A Bob Unglaub Horner cabinet in nearly perfect condition recently sold on ebay for $600.
Someone got screwed and I find it hard to believe that Leland's wasn't aware of this thread or the emails you sent them. No excuse for this.

Of course Leland's was aware of this thread. The heads of the auction houses review these threads 19 times a day. Leland's probably figured that if the buyer bought it and didn't complain then they made a score; if not and a request was made for a refund, I'm sure they'd give it. But why give back money when you can steal it instead?
To twist a line from a classic movie: "Money stolen is twice as sweet as money earned." PS: Is Leland going to be the keynote speaker at the next Net 54 dinner? Will he again pontificate about the good and bad in the industry? Will he include his fraud in his next speech? What a scumbag.

I see that Chris Ivy has recently visited my Net54 profile. Hi there Chris. Next time leave a note. I'm still waiting for a thank you from you guys for helping y'all figure out that the Mark Americans photo (est. $4000-6000) was bogus. Last edited by bmarlowe1; 12-05-2009 at 01:32 PM. |

"Teflon is a nickname given to persons, particularly in politics, to whom criticism does not seem to stick. The term comes from Teflon, the brand name of a "non-stick" chemical used on cookware, and was first applied to the American President Ronald Reagan."

Didn't John Gotti, Sr. the "Teflon Don" bear the handle before Reagan?

I have never heard Reagan referred to by Teflon Don, it was John Gotti http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teflon_don
