There isn’t a wrong answer. Yes, no, maybe. Came from the scrapbook of Matty McIntyre, as McIntyre did not start with the Tigers until 1904. The back says Shreveport, La. I don’t have a newspaper.com subscription but I’d like to know if the Tigers for any reason were there around 1905/06/07 timeframe.

I can’t tell you it is Cobb, but it is a distinct possibility. The Tigers would have played at Spar Stadium during that time for sure.
Here is a story on the Yankees playing there, it was a common spot for exhibition. https://710keel.com/babe-ruth-yankees-shreveport/

Is Matty McIntyre in the photo? To the left maybe? I can't give an answer if it is Cobb or not. I was trying to compare heights. Cobb was taller than Matty. Cobb was 6"1 and Matty was 5'11

Unfortunately I cannot help but it is a good excuse for me to share a photo of Cobb (at least it is identified on the back as him) from the same album (I think).

I believe the three actual players shown in this photo are George Mullin (left and not including the farthest left player who is almost completely blocked by the vendor) Matty Mcintyre (Middle) and Cobb (90% Sure) to the right of Matty

I was thinking the same thing-- if that's Cobb he looks like the shortest one in the row, and at 6'1" that seems unlikely.

It's a crapshoot, as there isn't much hidden information that can be brought out, but the safe money to me would be on it being someone else...

It certainly looks like Cobb but he was always the tallest in the group not the shortest.

Agree, no way that's Cobb due to his height.

According to this site:
https://baseballguru.com/ksaldana/an...saldana03.html The Tigers had spring training in Shreveport in 1903 and 1904.

Top left is August 25, 1905 when a local jeweler presented him with a watch after his last game with the Augusta Tourists. Then the Detroit Free Press paper announcing his arrival August 30 1905. Also shown is his first game with Detroit in uniform. Can’t remember the bottom left date but pretty sure it’s 1905. As to the original picture I posted my guess is a solid maybe, but more research needed.

If I had to choose, I would vote no also, but it certainly is not definitive.
