I always thought there was never a player that looked less athletic than Eddie Collins as depicted in his W575-2 card. For one of the best 2nd Basemen of all time just imagine how good he would have been had god given him shoulders!
I don't have a scan handy but here he is... https://www.psacard.com/cardfacts/ba...collins/302601

Hey guy,
I resent you picking on a guy that played for a semi-pro league in my hometown, George Alusik. George was a tall (6'3") skinny guy, who could hit the ball a long distance. And, was a very good Outfielder. His claim to fame was when he played for the KC A's, Alusik hit HR's in five consecutive games. A record he held with the A's for 44 years until it was finally broken by Frank Thomas (playing for the A's) in 2006. TED Z T206 Reference . |

I'm surprised no one mentioned the most obvious example...
Ruth Like most, I love the Babe, but if you showed anyone a photo of Ruth from the later part of his career, and they didn't know who he was, and then proceeded to explain his accomplishments and lofty status... I'm betting they would think you're pulling their leg. |

I'll put CC up against John Daly for the tie. He looks like he's about to have a heart attack.

Hard to believe he was a top-notch reliever in his day... I think his ribs are poking through the Jersey in the second image.

It must be the glasses? Bob Veale was a very large intimidating (6'6"" 212 lb) athletic guy. He was considered to be one of the hardest throwing pitchers of his era. He was also recruited by the Harlem Globe Trotters.
