Don't think there are a lot of foolish collectors but an abundance of foolish investors. Because a certain price is paid for a certain card doesn't mean that that price will be sustained in the future. eBay is littered with overpriced cards that sellers seek because they live and die by VCP. Personally, I pay no attention to VCP and purchase cards that I feel is the right price for me.

I agree, it's not always possible to sell direct, but if I recall correctly the point of my post was that he shouldn't be faulted for giving direct a shot first.

right but you have gone on record that people really offer more at AH then they do direct thats just how it is if you plan on selling your card direct....so its a waste of time to try direct ..

in any event, if the guy was willing to take 20k, i assuming his reserve is around there at heritage..

It appears that it didn't reach the reserve ($15,000).

In retrospect it seems predictable. Offering a card for sale for a year without having it sell has to decrease it's eventual sale price.

And for the record, I take no joy in this outcome. I have my own Cobb/ Lenox, so I really wanted this one to sell high.

Default still available

It is still available for $17,295 I believe, which is $15,000 plus the buyers premium if anyone is still interested through Heritage. It did not sell in the auction itself.

true. I am not interested in the card myself, but this is just what Heritage shows on their final auction results

What is your obsession with this thread? You have posted 45 times accounting for just shy of 11% of the posts. You have bumped this thread 5 times - defined by a post that was made more than 24 hours after the prior post.

Move on.

Agreed. This post needs to be taken down or moved to a different section. It's not fair to the people trying to sell their t206s.

Almost 25% of those posts were the last 2 pages out of 42 pages on my settings (so about 5% of the prior 40 pages) and there was a significant event that occurred...auction ended...and

whats your obsession in counting posts...that was going to be my last post but like the republican debate, if my name is invoked or is inferred I may likely respond

why do you reply to my post TWO days later ..let the thread die if thats what you want to do....perhaps its your plan to pretend to want the thread die but then to post TWO days later complaining why wont the thread die...i posted this just an hour or so after your post (and was already bumped to the top when i replied) so it hasnt been dormant for TWO days...let the thread die and stop posting.....iowa doc also posted 2 of the last 4 posts as well so i would think iowadoc should refrain from posting if wants the thread to die as well...thanks

put your name on the post asoriano...why do you continue to bump the thread? Not sure why you listing names unless they do exactly whatever you do ( i edited the prior post to not bump this thread)

I believe Leon has allowed this thread to continue in this section for the entertainment value. It certainly is one of a kind, and it's impact on others trying to sell in this section is minimal at best. Less of an issue than guys posting 2-4 separate listings for each card they're trying to sell, then bumping those threads every couple of days.

I say if it bothers anyone that much, stop opening it.

Can buy the card now for 17,000 or so Make an offer/buy it now Heritage deal that people love so much.....(i didnt hurt anyone on b/s/t with this post as Rocarrol just already bumpted it with a reply a few mins ago apparently) Plus will now be interesting to see if anyone actually buys the card, I guess when you lose money on a reserve auction when noone buys it they let you keep it on the site with a buy it now feature perhaps

Interesting factoid about this thread. It began 2 days before the First Four of the 2015 NCAA Division 1 Basketball Tournament. It is now the last night of the 2016 Tournament, day 387.... and counting ?????

Eric, what a great idea for a thread: name your least favorite card. I'll bet that most of us have a particular card that we're sick of.

Robert, nothing personal. I was simply stating how long this thread has been going on. Nothing against your card, but I think this thread should have either been ended or moved. Just my take, that's all....

general question. Have you had any serious offers or are the majority ball breakers jealous that they do not have the card. I guess any attention is good attention. It is like an ugly woman with a great body.........

That PSA 3 Cobb/ Lenox in Memory Lane will be sold in three days. Maybe that will help set the market for this card.

Why did you bump this thread? Unless you pulled the card from auction, it isn't available for sale here on the BST. Over a year of attention whoring with this thread hasn't been enough for you?
