eBay's Lack of Concern

We have all seen eBay's lack of concern with fake baseball cards. Unfortunately it goes further. Be careful with ANYTHING old and potentially valuable on eBay. Example: not only do I collect baseball cards, but also old railroad paper. The Florida East Coast Railway built an incredible railroad feat of engineering to Key West, called the Over-Sea Railroad or Key West Extension which was wrecked by the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935. Anything associated with that is very desirable and valuable. Once built, and up until 1935, the railroad's corporate logo reflected their pride, with a train crossing the Long Key Viaduct. After the hurricane ruined the Over-Sea railroad down the Keys, the FEC Railway changed their logo to a sunset with palm trees in 1936. This item now for sale is dated 1927, and most definitely fake:

The correct logo in use in 1927 is shown below. I have reported this item 3 times, and contacted the seller, with NOTHING being done.

Be very careful with eBay.

In the description he uses the scammers favorite disclaimer…… “Estate Sale Find……. Not Authenticated”. Almost always means “I know it’s probably a fake so good luck suckers!”

It’s the point, mister. Can't you see it's only an example? People prattle on and on about everything, even if the category is supposed to be Pre-War cards, and no one gets their panties twisted. Just felt compelled to single me out to make yourself look wonderful, did you?

I got that canned response just this weekend. Apparently copyright and trademark infringement do not violate eBay policies.
