I don’t think I’m familiar with a lot of those premiums….specifically, the pennants.

Recently found this old arithmetic book that talks about the attendance and receipts of the 1919 World Series. Makes a great companion piece to my 1919 WS display.

As my avatar indicates I collect all things related to the 1971 Pirates. Here are a few items I like to pair. For a number of years I’ve been trying to complete a complete 1971 Pirates season home and away ticket run. I’ve been stuck at 64% for longer than I care to mention. My father bought me this real 1971 World Series Staff ring it belonged to the ticket sales manager. They look great together. Next, bats used by the three HOF members from that team paired with tickets to Clemente’s 3000th hit, Mazeroski’s Game 7 walk off, and Stargell’s 475th HR which was his last and remains the franchise record. Next up Steve Blass’ 1971 post season awards with a Type 1 photo of him posing with them in his home. Last, but not least, the iconic (at least I think so) front page of the 10/10/71 Edition of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and the actual flog used on the printing presses that day.

Default One of my favorites

This group is one of the most prized within my collection and (i don't often say something like this) I have always felt priviledged to own these pieces.

All relate to each other and came together. I feel it a minor miracle that they were saved for so many years and nothing was discarded along the way.

A solider during World War II had written Mel Ott asking for a souvenir.

His reply is shown along with a letter from Ford Frick (to the same solider), a baseball which was used in a Giants game and hit into the stands, and a typewritten card which was sent to the soldier along with the ball.

I enjoy saying jokingly yet seriously...I do like a good companion piece; so thanks for starting this thread.

Paul C, I have never seen a glass like that, have you seen others? Chris, Ken Raffensberger would be a millionaire many times over today.

For me I always enjoyed JuJu Drums and when i had the chance to pick up this package they came in, I had to go for it. I think one of two known. (Such an odd, rare issue).

I don't know which is a companion to which, but these all go together. The microphone is supposedly the one used by Day in her pre-game show. The banner supposedly hung in the dugout and is about 4' x 6'.

no doubt about that... please educate me some more about what ju-ju drums were and their relationship to baseball?

I was interested to see what/where that store was but my limited internet investigative skills didn’t bring up anything.

Pretty sure i came up with a Canadian sporting goods/clothing store but going back and trying to Google search the name on the store doesn't turn up much. Wonder if the CBC on ice player is in reference to Charles Beaulieu (Company or Clothing) or another name that cant be seen in photo.

Is it possibly the same location?? Would they have changes the address? 763 and 765 to now 200?

Here's a cap worn by Howie Haak and a batting helmet that supposedly belonged to Leno Donoso. While I have my doubts who owned the latter, Howie — who later became the most famous of all baseball talent scouts — signed Leno Donoso to a Pirates contract in a Mexican bordello.

Famous 1964 picture of Mickey Mantle and Brooks Robinson...

Dual signed version as well as the AP wire photo taken a second later (the Baltimore Sun watermark was from the original eBay listing prior to me purchasing it):

An original magazine ad for the 1956 Tastee-Freeze Big League Stars figures, seen under the ad. The figures were intended to be painted and submitted for prizes. I have tried to research the contest and was never able to find any info about winners, winning figures, etc.
