My father in law sent this photo to me asking which Yankees are in it. I’m not even certain these are Yankees, but the photo supposedly from 1949 or 1956.

Could be Andy Carey on the left side.

Gil McDougald on left. Cannot ID the other two.

The toy cars appear to be mid-1950's models, so the 1949 date is definitely not correct. I'd wager those cars on the top of the freight car are '56 models.

The guy on the far right is a bit reminiscent of Johnny Mize and sure has the large hands I remember shaking.

The one in the middle looks like he could be Jerry Coleman.

That must be Gil McDougald's children. All dressed the same and he had 2 boys and two girls.

Lol, the kids at both ends are completely lost. The kids in the middle are focused.

You may be right; in fact, those children very well could belong to the players. Coleman had a son and Turley did too, born around 1954. McDougald's oldest and youngest were girls, which seems to fit the picture.

Here's a photo of the McDougald family from 1955 that I found on the web (back row middle is identified as a family friend):
![]() Sure looks to me like these are his kids in the choo-choo photo, likely from 1957?

My vote is for Turley on suspect #3.. mize would be wrinkly like pruneface despite the similarities. I also debated it being bob cerv

Nose and chin are similar. His right ear has the same prominent anti-helix (at least, I think that's what it's called; where's Mark Fimoff when you need him?). My vote is for Bullet Bob. If the ear fits, you must acquit.
