Default E mathewson vs Cracker Jack mathewson

How can the 1914 Cracker Jack be worth so much more?
I see a lot of value in the horizontal pose, anyone else agree
Which card is undervalued/more upside

One of the poll choices is "Horizontal Mathewson". Is that like the E102?

Also, is this poll to determine which one people like more, or which one they think is more valuable?

Isn't the T205 Cycle Matty just a Cycle T205 - as in, all of them have the same backs?

Also a difference between 1914CJ horizontal Matty and 1915CJ Matty portrait.

Love the CJ and the Horizontal E-card both along with the E98.

You need to redo the poll to be meaningful, as pointed out world of difference between the two CJs. Which one are you asking about?

That pic may explain why I can never seem to buy an E Mathewson.

There is a huge difference between Matty's 1914 and 1915 Cracker Jacks (although I think both are more valuable than the other options).

Its not even a question that the 1914 CJ is a ton more valuable than any of the options. The 1914 CJ is a top 10+/- prewar card (as far being iconic) and an authentic sells for $30k+, with a 3+ easily selling for six figures. Thus, I assume you mean the 1915 CJ, which I think is more valuable than the other options

There's a reason there isn't a photo of 23 1914 CJ Mathewsons.

I've been looking to add an e92, e101 or e102 Matty. Having said that I'd rank them.

'14 Cracker Jack - Iconic card from iconic set
E98 - Overall tougher to locate than E92 family. BSF did not add to the pop explosion like other subjects.
E92 family - To me, the best looking of the three.

LOL I was on like a 10 year quest myself. Lost out, or the card was too out of register, every single time.

I think the 1914 CJ more upside (even the prices already risen a lot past several years)

It is Iconic, it is considered a top pre-war card, it has relatively low population (I know others have low counts also but not iconic)

I was fortunate to pick this one up on BST, thank you Andrew. It is one of my favorite cards and probably my favorite Matty image.

I voted for the horizontal E series Matty. Close second I like the E93. They are all great regardless

No wonder you believe the Matty horizontal (no red lips, please) has a lot of value. You control the market

I’m partial to the e93 at the moment as this is my nicest Matty currently. I have always liked the e98 pose but have never owned one. The horizontal has never appealed to me for some reason. cracker jacks are next level, especially the horizontal.

Why is the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle worth more than his 1951 Bowman rookie card? Or his other second year cards like the 1952 Bowman?

The 1914 Cracker Jack set is one of the most iconic sets in the hobby. The Mathewson is one of the key cards in the set. The demand far outweighs the supply. His card is going to keep rising.

The other E cards or the t205 cycle are much lower demand. They will continue to grow at a slower pace. Value from a scarcity point just doesn't happen in this hobby. Baseball card prices are demand driven. That is the 1914 CJ Matty.
