Roberto Clemente

I believe in 1960 and 1971 and I think it was like 13 games(might be 14)

Excellent guess. Clemente got a hit in all 14 WS games he played in.
But the answer is someone else.

Another excellent guess. Gehrig, like Clemente was certainly a hero in both the World Series and in life. But he is not the answer.

So far we have named two of the three men of "Character and Courage" that the Hall of Fame has statues of in their lobby in Cooperstown.

Hank Bauer, my Dad's favorite player not named Joe DiMaggio.

This was a question on another baseball forum recently which is why I remember.
