Worst grading ever?

What's the worst grading you've seen from any of the TPA's? I'll start with this amazing SGC9 that really is a SGC1. What kind of drugs was this grader on?

Perhaps he/she was hungover, or going through withdrawal or the dt's that day. Or maybe having an LSD flashback.

Are those corners like that possibly part of the design? Because they look both sharp and worn, which doesnt really make sense.

Just checked ebay, here's a PSA-8 w/ nicer corners

PSA has done a lot of grading horribly off-center modern cards as 10s. That may be a reason why they're getting tougher

SGC is bad about the cases pressing on certain cards and this looks like more of the same. I bet the card is a 9 but the case is pressing on the corners resulting in this looking worse in a scan than it really is.

I 've been through 13 of these cards/stamps. The SGC 9 pictured is not pressed on the corners. It's an unbelievable grading job by SGC. 10 of the ones I got graded, the grades were chopped 5 grades because of a dot. (Print defect). Other than that, they should've graded 7-9. SGC claims they want to be consistant. (We'll grade everything a 5 just to be safe lately).

Maybe this was some sort of clerical error. I find it hard to believe someone would logically grade it a 9. Either way, not good.

Here's my gripe, errr.... I mean submission.

I thought that this card should have graded at an 8 or 9, although a 7 wouldn't have shocked me.

But a 3? Come on!!!

Obviously, NOT the grader who was responsible for the harshly-graded Mantles I dumped on BST recently.

That said, I would rather have the harsher treatment, though I wish I had not invested so much in raw cards.


I think you should either

A)- send it back and demand a more accurate grade

or

B) Apply for a grader's job, perhaps, specifically THAT grader's job.

Here’s the back from PSA’s scans.

I’m guessing the stain/bleeding print/water damage on the back has something to do with it.

Thank you for the addition of the back of the card...I love it regardless...don't care what the number assigned to card...
