I’m new to the forum but recently purchased a Louisville Slugger J.F. Hillerich & Son dash diamond dash. It’s 35 inches long, the stamping is reversed, and based on everything I’m seeing the bat looks authentic. However, I thought the J.F. Hillerich would have the original font and it doesn’t appear to. I’d really appreciate anyone’s insight.

Thank you! I found it with some other period baseball equipment at an estate sale

For a reverse label, the font looks weird; although I can't really see the fine details from the pictures.
I am interested in what others have to say. When you say "original font"; do you mean the "hee-haw" font? It would not necessarily have that. Given the context of where you found it, I would not have hesitated to grab it. Last edited by JoeDfan; 06-26-2021 at 10:41 AM. |

I’m not sure what the font is called but I know it’s not as simplistic as what’s on this bat. I tried taking better pictures.
