Default Cards You'd Like To See...

There are many "Cards That Never Were" in various mediums out there.
What are some of your favorites and what cards would you like to see?
A '52 Ted Williams or '52-'57 Topps Musial would have been nice...or how about a base set 1960 Yaz?
Interested to know yours...and see if I can oblige, Lol

Thank you! Actually, I am a baseball scout and player development specialist--career wise. I am also a graphic artist. It keeps me sane, Lol.

Truthfully, I likely spend more time with Banty Red these days than I do on the field. Thank you, again, for your kindness and encouragement. That keeps me going! What is your name?

Joe,

I worked on these over the weekend in the wee hours. Very happy with them. I couldn't find any images in my collection or anywhere on the internet with Shibe Park backgrounds (as most '55 Bowman had) but went with best alternatives that were in the spirit of the photography. Of course, the images have to be in the time period, which was easy for Robinson...not so easy for Koufax, Lol
I hope you like 'em.
Phil

Here are the Banty Red Ruths from 1915 and 1918 and the '55 "Lost Series" Clemente...
I have NO idea why my pictures sometimes are tiny and other times come out just fine. Tonight, they're tiny, I guess...

Wow, that’s super cool bro, they look great! When you asked, I thought you were sparking conversation, didn’t realize you were going to actually create them! Mad skillz!

I love creating these. That's how Banty Red started!! How I forgot '55 Bowman escapes me, but THANK YOU for the inspiration!

I'd love to see a nice 1954 Topps Mantle and not the one that is from the Sport Illustrated magazine. I don't like that one.

Phil- I'm very pleased with this one you made of my cousin:

I'd love to see him in his White Sox and / or Indian unis.

1930 R319 Whitlow Wyatt art card.jpg

- and how about '55 Bowman and Topps of Herb Score?

Beautiful job. I'm guessing the portrait part of the card took inspiration from the 1954 Red Heart? 1955 Kills me, I'm not a huge fan of the Bowman Set on the whole that year, I don't like the whole "TV Set" Design. I'm eventually going to have to pick it up because I don't think there are any alternatives though, and I need a Mantle from that year to complete one of my collecting goals.

Thank you! These are from earlier work. They are part of the Banty Red "Lost Series" or "Cards That Never Were"...there will be a new '55 Mantle later this year that is spectacular.
I hear you on the TV set. Funny thing is, while I loathed those for 40 years, a couple years ago I started to like them. Probably because I had ignored them for so long, the poses were fresh to me. I am just collecting the players I like so I'll compile about 100 of them. I added a Mantle last year and I really like it, Lol.
The '54 Red Heart may have inspired my subconsciously? I can't tell you what it looks like, honestly. There are so few photos of Mickey from '53 it's actually odd. Topps shot a ton (hat on, off, posed, swinging, in a chair, stadium background, spring, etc.) Bowman was like "we've got ONE day in spring and one day in Philly...let's rock!" So '53 photos to be used for 54's were in short supply, Lol.
