Default Does PWCC edit creases from their cards?

I realize these are not baseball cards but the issue isn't the type of card it is. It seems as if PWCC is editing photos in an extreme manner or could it been taken from a particular angle under ideal lighting conditions? Look at these two photos of the same card taken from PWCC around 1/23/2019 and the identical card a couple months later from probstein123 on 3/6/2019. I copied these photos from VCP.

Old Judge posted an example of this recently where the PWCC scan did not capture the wrinkles very well.

If they're removing wrinkles/creases on the West Coast and adding wrinkles/creases on the East Coast, we are all in trouble.

That seems impossible. Half the heavy wrinkles are gone, half are visible? Why even do it on this card? Mindboggling. There is no possible angle you could take that picture that would remove the ones that are missing.

Who's the guy that does the card overlays on this board? This would be AMAZING to overlay.

Edit: It's not recently graded, but my thought was maybe the creases came back. Maybe it's a CCD vs. standard scanner issue, where the CCD scanner is picking up the depth of the creasing, while the older style is not.

Most likely a scanner issue.

I've always thought that PWCC uses Ultra High End Scanners and utilizes ALL of the teaks available (Color Correct, Contrast, etc) for their postings. The images are all pretty much uber sharp shiney

Thanks, that is awesome. If PWCC is still in business next year, they should upgrade their scanners.
