Wanted to show everyone this one. It was good enough it fooled me anyway. The only thing was it was a bit thicker than what a normal T206 is...and someone with better eyes than me could tell it looked suspicious under a loupe.
Background - bought it off ebay from a seller that doesn't seem to be a baseball collector. He did have it listed as a t206, no mention of a Uzit back at all. He was also happy to let it go as a buy it now for $160. To me, not the actions of someone trying to deceive a Uzit...but also makes me wonder how it got into his hands, as surely whoever spent time on this card at some point did make some money off it. I don't have it back yet, but did see on the SGC site they labeled it as counterfeit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thats not bad...but the edges look funny and the type and color of the back looks weird too...to me.

I can't see it. Is my computer acting up again, or is a link to the card missing?

I am far from a T206 expert but when I see a card that has consistent rounded corners, that color of brown stain around the edges and that kind of wear to the white areas of the border, I immediately think it is a fake.
The T206's that I have seen with rounded corners, the corners weren't consistent in their roundness. The cardboard wasn't that brown color and the white borders were more flaked off and not worn off. I don't know if I have explained things clearly but seeing what I am talking about you could tell the difference. Then you through in an UZIT back..... David P.S. I am not trying to denigrate the OP or start a fight. |

Always easy to pick out a fake when it's already been announced as a fake. This one looks like a pretty good one and just by looking at the last picture you showed, it would have been tough to pass up. The rounded corners seem to be a sign, the look and pattern of the corners seem to possibly be another sign of a fake...these are good for anyone to keep in their back pocket for future purchases.
