Default Help in ID'ing a Springfield Ponies* player, if possible?

I just picked this up because I found it pretty cool and the face looked familiar to me, though I couldn't think of who it was.

Anyone know anything about this, or know who this is?

Looking forward to reading what "almighty Google" couldn't tell me,

Thanks in advance all...

Might want to start by identifying the uniform...looks more like a San Francisco Seals uniform than a White Sox uniform but I am no expert...maybe someone else could chime in.

They kind of do, but that dollar sign looking S looks more like something Thurston Howell III would have if he owned a baseball team.
