Not much love for black and white cards on the best looking thread, so what do you think the best b/w card or set is?
My vote... Novelty Cutlery ![]() Last edited by Bicem; 06-25-2012 at 07:47 PM. |

T4 Obak. The T4 Weaver in my opinion was the prettiest thing ever produced.
edited to add, not mine unfortunately. ![]()

I'm with Matt W---M101-1 SN.
I have it as the James McGuire framed with a large oval mat. It serves as a centerpiece for the wall nearest my office desk. all the best, barry |

My personal favorite is the '39 play balls. Bigger cards, outstanding image clarity...and it's just my own personal opinion, but I think that set might have saved the hobby. Goudey was dying, every other issue was basically gone, paper was getting expensive and in short supply. The 39 and 40 sets were really the only Major distributions until peace time really settled in in '48. If it weren't for the Gum Inc sets of '39-41 who knows what might have happened to the hobby after a full decade of basic non existence

Probably a bit less mainstream, but how about some Negro Leaguers? If you like black and white or sepia, the 1920's Cuban issues are pretty hard to beat IMO.

The D381s are pretty remarkable. Does anyone know who the photographer was on these? Everyone of them has a great image, shows all the life of the person on their face. Great images.

My favorite has to be a W600. Note - these are not my cards.
